Spiritual Emptiness, Obesity And Addiction To Food

Filling The Emptiness Of Obesity

When people turn to food to fill what they perceive as emptiness inside this is when a food addiction and obesity are made. The emptiness that they feel is not really emptiness at all because emptiness is a condition of fear and fear is not real. Fear and emptiness are made by people in the mis-creation of themselves.

Obesity and food addiction occur when people feel unsafe due to fear of something that has happened in the past. There are also instances where people turn to food in an attempt to find a temporary calm or comfort for negative feelings, emotions and thoughts that are out of control. These emotions are generated because of a belief (thought) that something is lacking in their life. A belief in lack is also a false perception because the only lack that exists is the lack that you believe in, thought about and made.

People are creators by birth. The difference between creating and making differs only in the fact that Creation comes through Spirit and making comes through ego. Ego is driven by fear of lack. Ego believes that it is not getting enough of what it needs to be happy. Ego is the seat of greed. Greed is fueled by the belief that there is lack when there is not.

A belief in the truth that there is abundance for all is the beginning of healing for those who have made themselves obese and addicted to food. Those who have made their bodies to protect themselves through the addition of excess weight can also benefit from this understanding. Regardless of the reason why, the people who turn to food for comfort are doing so because of pain caused by fear of either past, present and/or future.

As I have stated several times throughout this blog when you first change your mind then the body will follow. True transformation must start in the mind. Transformation begins when you are willing to recognize, accept and change the process of making to the process of Creation. To do this you must also recognize and accept the fact that you are not your body and you are not your mind. Your mind and body are tools for your creative use.

This truth takes you to the crossroad of spirit and ego. It is at this junction that you must choose which voice you will follow. You have free will to choose either but understand that listening to the ego is what caused you to be afraid and add the excess weight in the first place.

The emptiness that you perceive inside of you is not real. You made the empty place. You were not created that way. The feeling that you need to fill that empty space with food to bring comfort to pain is a false perception based on false feelings and false emotions made through egoic thought processes.

Exercise is good for the body and the mind. Proper nutrition is good for the body and the mind. The body was created to work in harmony with Spirit. A body that is at peace with Spirit will be healthy, fit, satisfied and free. A body that is at war with Spirit brings about the opposite effect. Addiction is formed when the habit of turning to food, drugs, alcohol or any other means of comfort other than Spirit becomes your solution to dealing with pain. Addiction makes obesity. Obesity makes death.

To receive healing is a choice you must make. Healing is available to you, right now, by simply turning your focus inward, forgiving yourself and making a decision to love yourself again.  If your desire is to change the way you look and feel then you must first change the way you think.
