I believe that a very high percentage of these searches are being conducted by people who want to make a change in their life. They are looking for secrets, tips, tricks and information that will assist them in making a similar change. What this tells us is that there is a huge demand for information and pretty much anything else on the subject of weight loss… the difference is that celebrities and celebrity weight loss stories get the attention.

What I’ve been finding when it comes to the Raven Symone weight loss story and other celebrity weight loss stories is that, in most cases, there is one common denominator with each story. I believe the biggest fear, regarding weight loss and getting started, is a fear of exercise. If you haven’t done any exercise for a long period of time and your body is terribly out of shape then exercise can be a painful proposition both mentally and physically. The good news is that you don’t have to beat yourself into a pulp to burn more calories. Simply taking action will get the ball rolling. If you have not been walking, then start walking. If you can only do 15 minutes per day then do it. You can always build from where you start. I was 329 pounds after my heart valve replacement a few years ago and all I could do was 10 laps up and down the path to our gate in the back yard. That’s where I started. Today my daily cardio consists of either HIIT (high intensity interval training), steady state cardio, Shaun T’s Insanity or running the bleachers at the football field. You don’t have to start there, just start somewhere.

Get plugged into a social environment, online, where you can find encouragement and support as well. My Fitness Pal is one of the best. It’s kind of like Facebook for fitness and weight loss with a phone app and calorie counter. It’s a great system, easy to use and it’s free.
