While doing the keyword research for the new blog this evening I was intrigued by the key phrase super fast weight loss.   I guess super fast weight loss is what people are searching for when fast weight loss or rapid weight loss aren’t fast enough, right?

So, what could I possibly have to say about weight loss, through this blog, that you haven’t already read before?  It’s not like there is a lack of information on the subject… it’s everywhere.  Weight loss is a huge market with high demand that never seems to rest.  I must be out of my freakin’ mind to think I can create a blog that can compete with what’s already out there.

Weight loss is subject that is very near and dear to my heart, no pun intended.  Just over four years ago I was given about six months to live unless I had my defective, bi-cuspid aortic valve replaced.  If that wasn’t scary enough, the day of surgery they hoisted me on to the table at 329 lbs.  I’d be a liar were I to say I didn’t have a doubt or two about every waking up once they put me under.  You’d be amazed at the thoughts that pass through your mind when your life hangs in the balance.

Even though my weight wasn’t the reason for the heart trouble, the weight was still a big problem.  After four months of recovery from surgery I was finally able to start moving at a pace that would actually burn a few calories.

Today I’m happy to share that there is 100 pounds less of me and I’m on my way to reaching my target weight.  It’s been a slow road but it’s absolutely worth it.  The new heart valve has given me a new lease on life.  I’m able to lift weight, perform cardio and do what needs to be done to stay fit and healthy.

The reason I decided to create this blog was to share what I’ve learned over the last couple of years in the hope that it will assist anyone who is ready to lose the excess weight and get back into shape without having to do a bunch of guess work.  There are many things that you can do to lose weight efficiently, safely and permanently and my mission is to share that information with as many as will read it.

From experience I believe one of the biggest mistakes people make, when it comes to weight loss, is getting into the mindset that they want it gone and they want it gone now, as is demonstrated by those searching for rapid weight loss products, tips and secrets.  There are certainly things that you can do to expedite the process but not all of the methods people are using to lose weight, especially right now, are safe.

You will be amazed at how fast weight starts to come off by simply getting active and getting your diet in line.  It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize the people gain weight, in most cases, because they feed their body with junk food and don’t do enough to burn it off.  Food is fuel.  Excess fuel gets stored as fat.  The less you move the more gets stored.  The more fat that’s stored, the more you weigh.

Unrealistic Images Associated With Super Fast Weight Loss Have A Negative Effect On The Mindset Of Those Who Desire To Transform

To lose the weight you need to reverse the process.  You need to eat less food and do more.  You also need to make quality food choices and I’m not talking about choosing  a Diet Coke when you order a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese and a Super Sized Fry each time you roll through the Mickey D’s drive through.  You have to want it bad enough to do something about it and then you have to get your mind on board with your mission.  As my good friends Jon and Chris, the Possibility Coaches, put it “Being Fit Must Include Your Mind.”  They actually wrote a blog post on the subject… click here to check it out.

So, my advice in this first of many blog posts, don’t be in a hurry. Fast weight loss isn’t what it’s cracked up to be. I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but it’s worth noting that most people who drop weight too fast usually end up putting it back on.     Nicely written and explained. You really need a mindset which is encouraged at the subconscious level to give a feeling of permanent motivation to lose weight.
