While I was looking for trending keywords on Google today I ran across something called the 17 day diet. I’m going to tell you right up front I know absolutely nothing about this diet except for what I have learned today. I have not used this diet, I have not read the book. However, I do have a few things I’d like to say concerning the concept of the 17 day diet and any other diet program that offers people a fast weight loss plan that may seem to good to be true.
If there’s one thing I know about people who want to lose weight, they want to lose weight fast. It’s hard to blame people for wanting the weight gone and wanting it gone now. I probably hold the world record for the slowest removal of 100 pounds in human history so I can absolutely relate to the desire to lose weight fast.
Diets like the 17 day diet intrigue me. They capture my attention because of the promise. As it turns out, based on what I’ve seen of the 17 day diet it looks as though people have gotten decent results with it.
One of the lessons I have learned regarding fast weight loss programs, though, is that if you DO NOT do the mental exercise required then the chances of keeping the weight off are slim to none (no pun intended).

I do not have a problem with people expediting the weight loss process so long as they do so without risk to their health or sanity. Most people who are looking to lose large amounts of weight are dealing with food addiction and that food addiction has to be dealt with or the weight loss problem will persist.
So, if you are looking to jump start your weight loss or diet plan then perhaps the 17 day diet will be worth consideration. You might also consider a supplement or two to help you get things moving fast as well. I have found that both Xyng and Skinny Fiber work wonders for speeding up your metabolism and helping you burn fat faster. They also work great for keeping your appetite under control which can be difficult when coming out of a food addiction.
Keep in mind that you should incorporate a healthy diet and some exercise for optimal results.
